Operation of incoming outgoing & transformer protection cubicle with circuit breaker

Start-Up Procedure

  • Open the cable connector compartment’s cover.
  • Make sure that the auxilliary supply of the cubicle is energized, MCBs are online and Protection Relay settings are done properly.

  • Check the Disconnector’s gas pressure level is in normal state from both manometer and indicator lamps. ( If the gas pressure is in minimum level, then the operator can not do any kind electrical switching. In this case please contact with our technical service 7/24 )
  • Open the earthing switch.
  • Check the earthing switch’s position is open from the mimic diagram and control window.
  • Close the disconnector and make sure that the disconnector is closed by checking the mimic diagram.
  • Lock the disconnector mechanism by turning the mechanical lock clockwise and remove the key,and then use the same key with the lock over the breaker mechanism and turn anti-clockwise to unlock the lock.
  • Check if the spring of the breaker is charged. If the breaker is not motorized, you can charge the spring by manual operation. ( If the cubicle has auxilliary supply on and the MCBs are online, the motor will automatically charge the spring. )
  • Close the Breaker whether from the mechanical button over the mechanism or from the remote control cable with electrical buttons and check the mimic diagram over the circuit breaker.
  • Check if the cubicle’s outgoing is energized by observing the VPI ( Voltage Presence Indicator )device.

Cut-Out Procedure

  • Open the Breaker whether from the mechanical button over the mechanism or from the remote control cable with electrical buttons. ( If the gas pressure is in minimum level, then the operator cannot do any kind electrical switching. In this case please contact with our technical service 7/24 )
  • Check the cubicle is not energized by observing the VPI ( Voltage Presence Indicator ) device.
  • Lock the breaker mechanism by turning the mechanical lock clockwise and remove the key, and then use the same key with the lock over the disconnector mechanism and turn anti-clockwise to unlock the lock.
  • Check the disconnector’s gas pressure level is in normal state from manometer.
  • Open the disconnector and make sure that the disconnector is opened by checking the mimic diagram.
  • Close the earthing switch and make sure that it is closed by checking mimic diagram and control window. ( If the cubicle is being used as an incoming, do not ever close the earthing switch unless you cut the energy from the previous substation.)
  • Open the cable connector compartment’s cover.
  • If you are required to move away from cubicle and do not want any other operator to energize the cubicle, then please take necessary precautions by locking the mechanisms by using the padlock over the cubicle and hanging the warning labels over the cubicle.
